This Privacy Policy applies to Connects – Smart Caller ID App (the "Application"), developed and provided by SUREFY TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("Surefy", "we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Application accesses, collects, uploads, uses, stores, and shares, including information accessed through device permissions such as Contacts, Phone, and Call Logs.
By using the Application and granting the requested permissions, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Contact List Information
If you grant the Contacts permission, Connects may access, collect, and upload information from your device's contact list to our servers, including:
- Contact names
- Phone numbers
We use this information to identify known and unknown callers, provide Caller ID functionality, display contact-related information, and support contact identification features.
B. Call Log Information
If you grant the Call Log permission, Connects may access, collect, and upload call-log information, including:
- Phone numbers associated with calls
- Incoming, outgoing, or missed call status/type
- Call date and time
- Call duration
We use this information to provide call-history functionality, identify callers, provide Caller ID functionality, and support related calling features.
C. Phone and Call Information
Depending on permissions granted, Connects may access phone and call-related information to detect incoming and ongoing calls, enable supported in-app calling functionality, verify your phone number, identify callers, and display Caller ID information.
D. Account and Personal Information
When you register, use certain features, or contact us, we may collect information such as name, phone number, email address, and information you voluntarily provide to us.
E. Device Information
We may collect technical information such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, operating system, application version, device identifiers, and network information.
F. Usage Information
We may collect information about how the Application is used, including features accessed, application interactions, date and time of activity, and application performance and diagnostic information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information collected through Connects to:
- Provide Caller ID functionality
- Identify known and unknown callers
- Display contact names associated with calls
- Provide call-history and calling-related features
- Verify phone numbers
- Enable supported in-app calling functionality
- Operate and maintain the Application
- Improve Application functionality and performance
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse
- Maintain security
- Troubleshoot technical problems
- Respond to customer support requests
- Comply with applicable legal requirements
3. Contact List Data
Connects requires access to contact information for certain Caller ID and contact-related functionality. When you grant Contacts permission, Connects may collect and upload contact names and phone numbers from your device to our servers. This information is used to identify callers and provide Caller ID and contact-related functionality. We do not sell contact-list information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Access to Contacts can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
4. Call Log Data
When you grant Call Log permission, Connects may collect and upload information from your call history. This information is used to provide caller identification, call-history functionality, identification of unknown callers, and related calling features. We do not sell call-log information.
5. Permissions We Request
- READ_CONTACTS - Allows Connects to access your device's contact list for Caller ID and contact-related functionality
- READ_CALL_LOG - Allows Connects to access call-history information for Caller ID and related calling functionality
- READ_PHONE_STATE - Allows Connects to detect phone and call states, such as incoming or ongoing calls
- INTERNET - Allows Connects to communicate with our servers to provide services
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Allows Connects to determine whether an internet connection is available
6. Data Transmission and Server Processing
Certain information described in this Privacy Policy may be transmitted from your device to our servers over the internet. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information during transmission and processing.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information, contact list, or call-log information. We may disclose information in limited circumstances, including to service providers, when required by law, or in connection with business transactions.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Application and its functionality, maintain user accounts, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
9. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of personal information associated with your Connects account by contacting contact@surefy.ai. When we receive a valid deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize eligible personal information.
10. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration, and destruction.
11. Children's Privacy
Connects is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact contact@surefy.ai.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the Last Updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated. We encourage users to periodically review this Privacy Policy.
